Website and publication availableThe American Social Health Association , founded in 1914, is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to stopping sexually transmitted diseases and their harmful consequences to individuals, families and communities. To increase public awareness about STDs, ASHA publishes a variety of educational materials, distributing over 2.5 million publications each year. ASHA provides direct patient support through the Herpes Resource Center/National Herpes Hotline and the HPV Support Program, which publish quarterly journals and coordinate a network of over 100 local support groups.
